Only a couple days left until our Billiken Backers campaign is over!

We have raised 23% of our goal, a total of $1,765!!!! We cannot thank you enough for all of your generous donations. With this money, we are able to purchase 5 filters. We are getting closer and closer to our goal each day and it is all because of you all.

Our trips are always filled with laughter, great conversations, and lots of fun, but most importantly we spend each and every day working hard. We are up at 6 am and often don't return to our bedrooms until 10 or 11 pm that night...!! 

Below are some images of our fieldwork in Belize. On our initial assessment trip, we visited 4 communities and did water testing in each. We collected water samples from each source that the communities used for drinking water and tested them for turbidity, hardness, alkalinity, pH, conductivity, total and free chlorine, as well as total coliforms using Petrifilm. We also took water samples back to St. Louis where we tested for arsenic, fluoride, and nitrate.

Only 8 days left and we are still going strong! We have officially reached 10%! I would like to personally thank each and every one of you who have donated thus far. We would not be where we are without your generosity! With the money from this Billiken Backers campaign alone, we are able to purchase 2 filters! Woop woop! That's 2 filters closer to our goal of 25! On days that are tough and challenging, we are constantly reminded of the smiling, beautiful people of San Lucas waiting for clean water. Your contributions are helping make that happen!

Hello everyone!!

Thank you all for your amazing support! So far, we have reached $500 in donations and are 6% of the way towards our goal! We have 19 days left, so keep chatting us up, sharing with friends and family, and, most importantly, trying to conserve your daily water usage!!! 

We are midway through the month of October, meaning that our January implementation trip is quickly approaching. Attached to this update is a promo video to our project that includes some pictures and videos we wanted to share with you from our second assessment. This trip took place in August 2018. We were able to finalize agreements on this trip as well as lead an amazing education workshop at a local school. Hope you enjoy the video!
