The Honorable Michael B. Calvin Memorial Fellowship was established to provide fellowships for law students working locally in low-paying or non-paying public interest jobs. These students, and their families, often struggle to cover the costs of their education, making difficult sacrifices to reach their educational and occupational goals. This fellowship has made a profound impact in the lives of underrepresented minority students studying at Saint Louis University’s School of Law.
A committee from the law school's clinic will select the fellowship awardee and will give preference to minority candidates. The Fellowship awardee will receive a stipend for one summer. This Fellowship provides an opportunity for alumni to help deserving students complete their law degree.
