The Chicago Scholarship:

• Was fully endowed in 2019, so will now live on in perpetuity
• As of June 2020, has received 83 gifts from 44 donors
• Was first awarded to a local SLU student in Fall of 2019, and will award its second recipient over academic year 2021-2022
• Supports students from their selection to their graduation
• Requires a 3.0 GPA and long-term dedication to SLU’s mission
• Awarded its recipient $6,100 over the 2019-2020 academic year

Chicago hosted our Virtual Scholarship Benefit last Thursday, and as a result, brought the heat to the 6-city competition! Chicago now holds the highest donor participation percentage at 60%, even with the highest city goal of 30 donors. 

Don't fall asleep on the competition now, Chicago! Spread the word about the scholarship fund to your fellow Chicago-area Billikens who may have missed the event, so that we can add the final 12 donors, and take the prize (especially now that SLUmor has it a trophy will be involved)!

There are only 13 days until all of the Chicago Billikens get to reunite on our virtual event! Join us on the evening of Thursday the 15th to meet the current recipient of the Chicago regional scholarship, Ally, and also hear from some of your fellow Chicago alumni.
