SLU Mark Wilson Studio Theatre Lights

The Theatre Program in the Fine and Performing Arts Department at Saint Louis University asks for your support in purchasing a new set of LED lights for our newly renovated Mark Wilson Studio Theatre, dedicated in the name of our beloved colleague and professor. Mark Wilson, who passed away in 2017, was a tech guru who manipulated lights to create maximum dramatic effect.

We wish to purchase these ETC Selador Vivid R 1’0” Strip Lights to enhance our performances in the Mark Wilson Studio Theatre with their state-of-the-art features. They offer saturated colors, strong brightness, bold intensity, and long throw without the power of traditional bulbs that heat the stage and the performers.  As the ETC ad says about them, they are the dynamo of LED lights--“think oil paints instead of pastels”! With these, the tech crew can change a color wash on the stage with a flick of a switch. Each of the LED ETC Selador Strip lights is priced at: $923 each, so six would equal $5,538.

Join us in making the theatre experience of future students even better, providing spectacle as we expect Mark would love to have used himself in the theatre in which he so enjoyed working with SLU students.
