Dear Scholarship Donor,

Thank you for your generous contribution to SLU! I am a senior in the direct admit Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program at SLU. During my undergraduate education, I became very involved in my sorority and held several leadership positions. Additionally, I served as a Resident Adviser for Housing and Residence Life and became involved in campus ministry. Over this past summer, my parents and I were in a serious car accident in which my father and I sustained minor injuries and my mother was in critical condition. At the time, I was taking rigorous summer courses and had to put my two jobs on hold to focus on my family and classes. This scholarship gave me the opportunity to continue in my program without addition financial stress placed on my family and me.

Since then, I have continued my graduate level courses in the SLU PT program. I am extremely blessed to be learning the tools and gaining clinical experience that helped my mother recover from the car accident. This has made me more passionate about my career than ever. Furthermore, I continue to be involved on campus and look forward to growing in my leadership positions. Again, thank you for your generous donation and the opportunities you given me.
